Medical marijuana or cannabis as a natural alternative to pain and other ailments. An application needs to be completed through Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission, https://mmcc.maryland.gov. After the application has been processed, you will be provided a patient identification number. You then make an appointment with our office. This appointment is for evaluation and does not guarantee a certification. Having medical records to support your medical need for marijuana use is recommended but is not mandatory. Without medical records, medical marijuana certificate may need to be limited to less than one year. A follow-up office visit may be necessary.
Medical marijuana is not covered through health insurance. There is a $200.00 evaluation fee. This is paid on your office visit. It will not be billed. Follow up visits are $150.00. Follow up visits are determined by Dr. Grady. Most medical marijuana certificates are good for one year. There is no guarantee that a certificate will be issued for one year.
